I’m currently recruiting a

Hire Controller

for a company based in St Neots. This is an exciting time to join, as the business is booming and growing. For the right candidate, development opportunities are there for the taking. As the

Hire Controller , you will be responsible for managing accounts for hire and sales contracts, processing invoices, managing damage reports, and booking transport for collection and delivery.

Role: Process orders and maximise all hire rentals and sales opportunities. Call account contacts regularly to check on orders, equipment, and any potential changes to the contract agreement. Upload all relevant information and documents to the CRM for accurate tracking and reporting. Manage POD and POC. Plan transport for deliveries and collections and communicate any changes when necessary. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Raise concerns about stock levels on all equipment and work closely with the warehouse manager to ensure all equipment is ready for delivery. Raise potential invoice and damage concerns. Work closely with other internal departments such as Warehouse, Accounts, and Sales.

You must: Be highly organised and able to manage the busy hire desk with accountability. Be confident in picking up the phone and building long-lasting relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Hold a valid driving licence due to the location of the office (no public transport). Have experience in a customer-focused role. Naturally, be a confident customer-focused coordinator who enjoys working in a busy role.
