Hire Controller

A great job opportunity has arisen for a Hire Controller to join our busy team located in our client’s offices in Thurnscoe. The successful applicant will be working on one of our biggest and most important customer accounts and will be tasked with building strong internal and external relationships with a view to maximising business development opportunities. Key Responsibilities In this role you will deliver service excellence through the management of your own case load of queries, exceptions and associated customer enquiries. You will expertly respond to calls and written communication in a variety of formats including emails, ensuring a first class customer experience. As you will be working with our wider businesses to service this key client requirements, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and effectively resolve customer queries. You will also handle any escalations and customer queries. Experience of working in the hire industry is preferred as is the ability to deliver a high level of customer service, an excellent phone manner and the confidence to manage customer enquiries for hire and sale transactions. This role is joining an established and unique multi-skilled team that operate across 7 specialist divisions of Vp Plc to ensure our customers’ expectations are fulfilled. What we’re looking for Experience of working in a customer service role Knowledge and experience of working in the hire sector is desirable GCSE level Maths and English (or equivalent) C or 3 or above Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Confident with strong communication skills Driving licence preferable Ability to pick up new tasks quickly, follow procedures and help other team members To succeed in this role, you must be well organised and methodical with a high level of accuracy, with ability to build effective relationships with customers and internal colleagues.
