Deafblind NI Joy spent a good deal of her working life in the catering industry and loves baking. As her eyesight has got worse, she finds it harder to do but still keeps up with TV shows that are cookery related. She enjoys listening to Radio 4 especially the radio plays and enjoys crafting but finds this a challenge with her sight loss. Do you have an hour to spare each week to visit and brighten Joy's week? We are looking for a volunteer with a genuine interest in other people. A good listener available to make a regular weekly visit. Do you need experience or specialist skills? No - simply a genuine desire to help and some spare time on a regular weekly basis. We will ensure you are supported throughout your journey with us, offering training and support at all times. We will also reimburse out of pocket expenses to you and pay for your Access NI check. Tasks and Responsibilities
