We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate agency staff to join our team as Carers for home care shifts in Dereham, Norfolk. As a Carer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our clients during the night. You will deliver care in accordance with individual care plans, support clients with personal care, and ensure their safety throughout the night. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, administering medication, monitoring clients’ safety, and maintaining accurate records. You will foster a compassionate and respectful environment while working under the supervision of the care coordinator and in collaboration with community healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised care tailored to clients’ individual needs Administer medication and ensure adherence to care plans Assist clients with mobility and positioning as required Monitor clients’ safety and respond promptly to any emergency situations Provide emotional support and companionship to clients Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided Conduct thorough handovers to ensure continuity of care Requirements
Previous experience in a care role within domiciliary or home care settings NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred) Knowledge of CQC standards and regulations Strong communication skills Empathy, patience, and a commitment to maintaining client dignity Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Skills and Experience
Experience with medication administration and record-keeping Familiarity with care planning and risk assessments Ability to handle emergency situations with calm and efficiency Strong organisational and time-management skills Working Hours
This is an agency position with varying hours. Shifts typically run from 7:00 AM to 21:00 PM with a two hour break. Flexibility may be required to meet the needs of our clients. Salary and Benefits
