As a Home Care Assistant, You will be visiting people  in their own home  to help them with all elements of their daily routines depending on their specific requirements, and provide meaningful companionship at the same time. We cover areas in and around Weston and Worle, and have Client from Burnham on Sea to Clevedon and everything in between. We try to keep you working locally to where you live, however, to cut down on travelling time. Home Care Assistant Benefits: Great rates of pay - from £13 to £14.80 per hour, plus paid mileage and travel time on top. We also pay double time on Bank Holidays.  Minimum 1 hour calls   – giving you the time to care. Part time hours available -  which can easily build to full-time if desired. Training - full induction programme where we provide in depth training, plus other opportunities to develop your career. Responsibilities: Being a Home Care Assistant is an essential role, supporting our Clients to live well at home.  With the support of our team and industry leading training, you can feel fully equipped to deliver the high-quality care Home Instead has become known for. Here’s what you could be doing: Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit Help with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housework Accompanying to appointments or shopping Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and medication to keep them healthy and independent Qualifications The right candidate for this role will need to be available some weekdays, plus every other weekend. Set hours contracts available, discussion at interview. Contract options will be based on your availability.  No previous care assistant experience is needed , just your natural caring qualities. We will support you with full training, shadow shifts and introductions to all your new clients. Having a full,  UK driver's licence  and  your own car  is essential due to some tasks that may be involved like shopping trips, taking to appointments, and travelling between client visits within 15 minutes. We provide free ongoing learning and development opportunities such as the Care Certificate, Health and Social Care diplomas and an extensive range of distance learning courses. Additional Information We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. We require successful candidates to have an enhanced DBS check and provide a minimum of 4 references before they can start work as a Home Care Assistant.
