Job Overview Standby Healthcare are working with a dynamic and forward-thinking provider of residential care for children and young people, seeking a Registered Manager to be based in a new home opening early in 2025. Our client was founded in 2023, and their services will be bespoke to each child or young person we support, with each environment being tailored to their needs, allowing us to offer them the best chances possible for development and growth. As the Registered Manager, you will lead, inspire, manage, direct, guide, and support both junior management and members of staff at the home by way of supervision, appraisal, and the delivery of in-house training. Ensuring that each young person has a plan which reflects their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs. To ensure that each young person is safeguarded and to facilitate and record placement plan meetings. To ensure that the placement plan is reviewed each month. To ensure that both the individual and generic risk assessments are completed and regularly reviewed. Allocation of Key Workers for each young person with the principal responsibility of implementing the childcare plan. Involvement in the recruitment and retention of staff. Developing a management style that inspires and motivates staff to perform well. The opportunity to contribute to decision making. Ensuring that all new staff receive a proper induction to the Home in line with company policy. Ensuring that each member of staff has a supervision contract and receives supervision in line with The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015. Requirements

At least two years of working with young people in a residential setting. At least one year's experience at supervisory level at Deputy Manager or above within a children's residential setting. Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent. Hold or be working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent. Knowledge of The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 for children's homes. Evidence of working at management level, minimum of Deputy Manager Level.
