As a support worker you will assist and promote the independence of service users in their own homes. Our support workers deliver care and provide a reliable, personal and professional service which meets the individual needs of each service user and respects confidentiality at all times. Key Tasks

To provide the highest quality care possible to our service users in their own homes in accordance with their care plan, in a person-centred approach. Personal care of the service user(s) may include washing, dressing, bathing, toileting and medication monitoring/or assistance. Support workers may be required to prepare and cook meals and clean as you go. Some service users may need supervision, monitoring and coaching to enable them to remain as independent as possible. To be aware of the personal needs and requirements of your service users and be able to communicate these successfully to service users’ family and/or other healthcare professionals. Ensure all care is completed in accordance with Lica Homecare’s policies and procedures, the SSSC’s codes of practices and any contractual and legal requirements. Must be registered with the SSSC or apply for and become registered with the SSSC within the allotted time frame. Any other duties which may be necessary to comply with the SSSC or any other regulatory body. Maintain appropriate records to meet the needs of the service, observing and reporting any changes or concerns in the service users’ needs or condition. Contribute to and work as part of a team. Deliver care and support in an anti-discriminatory fashion. Protect service users from neglect or abuse. Participate in staff development, training and supervisions as and when required. Experience preferred but not essential. Qualifications/Tickets/Licences Required

PVG Satisfactory references Full driving licence essential.
