About the role: To ascertain the housing need (in public and private sectors of the community) and provide coherent preventative strategies. Ensure the provision of high-quality services to customers by leading and motivating the team and embedding a culture of excellent customer service that delivers great community outcomes. Ensuring all homeless intervention, prevention, and assessment functions meet legal requirements. Directing the Service, ensuring it is managed effectively to deliver excellent customer service that meets demand, demonstrates best practices, uses resources, and provides value for money. About you: Extensive working knowledge and application of legislation impacting delivering a homelessness intervention prevention service and making improvements within a cost-reduction model. Experience in the preparation of housing policies and strategies. Ability to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team to deliver excellent customer service in a high-pressure environment. Experience in the discharge of duty under homelessness legislation including s188 duties. Ability to work in a collaborative way to transform service delivery including the ability to manage stakeholder relationships. Experience working effectively with elected Members and in partnership with other agencies, including the voluntary sector and private landlords. Why join us: Inclusive Culture:
