Delivering housing support & interventions, developing personal plans, and use practical measures like mediation, advocacy and referrals to prevent or relieve homelessness Providing advice, information, and signposting to additional services tailored to the needs of each service user Collaborating with local agencies, landlords, and community organisations to secure housing options and support services Maintaining detailed records and managing case records and documentation securely and accurately
Taking services into the community through home visits, outreach activities, and participation in multi-agency meetings to address housing challenges collaboratively
In the Homeless Prevention Officer role, you will need:
Previous housing experience including case management A strong understanding of housing legislation, particularly the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 Problem-solving and organisation skills with a passion for helping people Excellent communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills Respect confidentiality and handle personal data responsibly under GDPR

Competitive pay starting from £16.37 per hour, with overtime and holiday pay Full-time working hours - Monday to Friday Office based in Colwyn Bay Temporary assignment until the end of Feb 2025 initially.
