An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Housing Solutions Service as a Homeless Prevention Officer. You will be responsible for:
Providing an effective and professional person-centred approach to the prevention and relief of homelessness.
Taking a holistic approach to understanding the root cause of a household’s homelessness and working with them through effective support plans to prevent and relieve homelessness and create future sustainable housing options.
Developing sustainable solutions for households while working with key providers and partners, ensuring that the council meets its statutory homelessness duties.
Requirements:
Friendly and proactive with previous experience of working with customers face to face and over the telephone.
Level 2 Maths and English.
Experience of using a modern IT package.
Hours:
37 hours per week
