McLean Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Pittsworth, 30 minutes Southwest of Toowoomba. Specialising in livestock and food production, the business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are currently seeking Poultry Hands to join the Homestead team in a full-time capacity.
About the role
In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including egg collection, bird husbandry, equipment maintenance, and general cleaning. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a love for working outdoors, this role is perfect for you.
Daily duties will include but not be limited to:
Egg Collection: Collect and monitor eggs, ensuring quality and cleanliness.
Bird Husbandry: Maintain feed, water, lighting, and inspect bird health, taking necessary action as needed.
Farm Maintenance: Conduct minor repairs, upkeep sheds, and maintain grounds.
Cleaning: Clean equipment, sheds, and egg collection areas to meet hygiene standards.
Other Duties: Operate farm vehicles (with appropriate license) and assist with bird transfers and shed preparations.
About you:
You have a passion for working with animals and maintaining high welfare standards.
You thrive in a physical, hands-on role and enjoy working outdoors.
Previous farm experience is an advantage but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate!
