Job Description

Role: Placed Youth Support Worker \n\nSalary: Up to £28,288 per annum to include 2 sleep ins per week. 3 Days on including 2 sleeps, 4 off shift pattern \n\nHours: Full time Days plus sleeps \n\nLocation: Manchester area \n\nPlease note a Full UK driving licence is desirable for this role. \n\nWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in providing essential support to young people aged 16 to 18 in supported accommodation.

This role involves working shifts from 8 AM to 10 PM plus sleep ins, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young individuals. \n\nKey Responsibilities: \n● Provide daily support and guidance to young residents, fostering a positive and safe living environment. \n● Engage in effective communication to build trust and rapport, enabling residents to express their needs and aspirations.

\n● Handle challenging situations with patience and resilience, ensuring the well-being of all individuals in your care. \n● Maintain accurate and thorough records, documenting interactions and progress to support safeguarding and effective service delivery. \n\nQualities Required: \n● Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically, fostering an open dialogue with young people.

\n● Commitment and Reliability: A dedicated approach to your role, ensuring consistent support and presence for the residents. \n● Outcome-Driven Mindset: Focused on achieving positive outcomes for young people, empowering them to reach their full potential. \n● Ability to Handle Challenges: Experience working with challenging behaviours, demonstrating problem-solving skills and emotional resilience.
