We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced
Hospital Director
to lead our team and take responsibility for the hospital’s financial, operational, and clinical performance. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, effective management of resources, and compliance with regulatory standards, while leading a talented team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Performance: Lead the Senior Management Team (SMT) in delivering day-to-day business operations and achieving quality performance indicators (QPIs). Address underperformance and implement action plans for improvement. Clinical Risk & Governance: Lead the management of clinical risk and provide oversight of clinical governance at the site, including chairing Clinical Governance Meetings. Business Planning & Financial Performance: Ensure the hospital meets financial targets (revenue and EBITDA) and business planning objectives while maintaining the highest quality of care standards. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of safety, quality, and excellence, leading the way in improving service delivery and efficiency while remaining within budget. Compliance & Regulation: Review audit reports and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory bodies. Respond to recommendations from CQC and address any complaints related to safeguarding or residents. Staffing & Recruitment: Develop and implement a recruitment and retention strategy to meet staffing needs, reduce turnover, and minimize agency spend. Oversee succession planning for the SMT. External Relationships & Risk Management: Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and manage risks to the hospital’s reputation, ensuring a positive public image. Health & Safety: Oversee Health and Safety at the hospital and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
What You Need:
We are looking for a
Hospital Director , ideally with a clinical background, who has:
Extensive senior-level experience, preferably within a similar healthcare setting. A proven track record in operational and financial planning. Experience managing cost control and financial performance with commercial accountability. Strong decision-making skills, especially in challenging situations. Extensive leadership experience, including leading diverse teams and developing healthcare services. A demonstrated ability to drive innovation and improve operations to enhance the work environment and hospital performance.
