Hospitality and Conferencing Manager - 12 month fixed term contract

Are you a detail-oriented and highly organised hospitality professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a talented and passionate Hospitality and Conferencing Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to our event planning excellence.You will have the opportunity to refine your skills, learn from experienced colleagues within the catering department, and play a crucial role in delivering both exceptional service, and events, to our clients. Playing crucial role within the Hospitality and Catering team on site that delivers world class service to tens of thousands of guests a year.

More about the role:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and hospitality service delivery of various events, including conferences, trade shows, corporate meetings, and social gatherings. Supporting with Cricket during the season and leading in the delivery of conferencing and events in the off season
  • Be a driving force for positive change within the department. Be forthright with ideas to improve on service delivery and how to implement these
  • Provide detailed reports and analysis to Senior Management in order to help aid in data lead decisions
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth service, meaningful collaboration and a legendary experience for all
  • Be methodical in the organisation of the venue operating spaces, rooms are reset and all conference-ware, buffet station equipment and ancillaries are accounted for and organised
  • Support and mentor your event staff to foster a positive and productive work environment

About you:

  • Previous experience as a Hospitality Manager, Events Manager, or relevant position in a fast-paced hospitality and event planning and delivery environment
  • Solid understanding of event planning techniques, stakeholder management, and logistical coordination
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks, and multitask effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering legendary event experiences
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
