This role matters. Our dedicated team of Hospitality Assistants provide excellent customer service to the patients and their loved ones whilst staying at the Hospice. Could you use your skills and compassion to be a part of the care we provide? This is truly a unique role and a vital part of the experience our patients and their loved ones receive whilst at St John’s. As a Hospitality Assistant you will liaise with patients, nursing staff & our catering team to ensure that patients receive refreshments, when required, that meet their nutritional, cultural and religious requirements. Ensuring that the appropriate crockery & eating utensils are provided for the patient and following use are correctly cleaned and put away. Occasionally you will be required to support the team in our Courtyard Café. Our Café is a social business where our catering team fulfils an important role in delivering a high level of quality food and customer service to our Café customers, patients, visitors, volunteers and staff. When working in the Café you will be part of a team who deliver outstanding customer service in a friendly and welcoming environment. This role is for 21 hours per week, to be worked in 2 x 6 hour shifts, over a 7-day rota. Shifts are either 7am – 1.30pm (early) or 1.30pm – 8pm (late).
