Grade 8 £40,219 - £43,414 (inclusive of local weighting) depending on experience. Full time 37 Hours PW Permanent Based in Hertford

Are you a hospitality professional with experience of developing food businesses, now looking to be part of a new and exciting cultural venue in central Hertford?

We are looking for someone like you to join our team! If we are a good fit for you, you will play a key role in the day to day running of BEAM, Hertford’s new and busy arts centre, leading the Welcome Team whilst focusing on our food and beverage offer.

What will you be doing?

Working alongside the Operations Manager to develop and launch a fresh food offer at BEAM. Managing the food and beverage budget and targets. Leading a team of Duty Managers and overseeing the day to day running of the café bar areas and social spaces within BEAM. Supporting the Operations Manager to achieve sales targets and KPIs across the venue. Working within part of the BEAM management team to ensure the successful delivery of a unique offer of shows, films, hires and events across all the spaces.

About you

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

Management experience within a food business, including menu development, staff recruitment, managing of cost controls and compliance. Proven success developing teams. An understanding of relevant regulations and procedures for legal compliance. A Personal Alcohol Licence. Excellent communication skills with an eye for detail.
