Job Overview Matlock Town Football Club is a vibrant and active club playing within the Northern Premier League. We also have a competitive ladies team, U21 squad, and strong junior section. The first team attracts an average of 800 fans per game and has a purpose-built bar and social club for events and match days. The room holds up to 300 people and is a perfect location for wedding receptions, parties, funerals, and other social and corporate events. We also have a tea bar serving hot food and the addition of temporary catering outlets when required. We are looking for Hospitality Supervisors to oversee our bar and catering facilities. Responsibilities Booking Coordination: Handling all booking enquiries and reservations, balancing the needs of the first team with the hospitality side of our business. The planning and execution of club events, including match days and social functions. Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organising suppliers/caterers. Manage the catering contractor, bar, and cleaning teams to ensure our hospitality meets expectations and that the clubhouse and all facilities are maintained, clean, and presentable at all times. Leading the team including recruitment and rotas. Manage stock control and ordering. Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and suppliers. Qualifications A minimum of 2 years' experience in hospitality, ideally in clubhouse management (preferred). Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays. Proactive & Enthusiastic, with a problem-solving aptitude. Ability to manage and motivate staff and create a good team atmosphere. Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and organisation skills. Ability to work with figures and data. Exceptional customer service, with the ability to handle difficult situations, including complaints, with professionalism and tact. Knowledge of football or sports club operations would be advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Personal License Holder (preferred). First Aider (preferred). Food Hygiene level 2 (preferred). Driving licence holder & own transport (preferred). In exchange, we will offer you a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to be part of a community-focused football club.
