Hotel Purchasing Specialist

(negotiator)

to join a highly successful b2b travel company, hybrid working based in London. Communication skills within a multi-cultural environment and negotiation skills are essential from a wholesale travel background. Hotel Purchasing Specialist

Duties: Coordinating hotel requests from the international Sales departments. Contacting suitable suppliers according to sales requirements either by email or telephone to discuss the best offer to finalise the reservation. Ensuring the booking criteria is given by the sales team are met, including budget, category, location and matching any given deadline. Sourcing alternative solutions when the requested location or hotels are not available. Negotiating the best possible rates, terms and conditions while establishing excellent relationships with hotels & suppliers. Dealing with amendments and negotiate/waive cancellation charges where necessary. Attending trade fairs, workshops, or local networking events when requested. Hotel Purchasing Specialist

Essential Duties: Fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken, with proficiency in at least another additional European language. Experience within a wholesale tour operator, happy to work in the London office in a hybrid role. Strong negotiation & communication skills.
