Housekeeping Team Leader
Location: Berkshire Independent Hospital, Reading
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time
Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits

The role:
We currently have a great opportunity for a Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at Berkshire Independent Hospital, based in Reading.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated team leader of the hospital's housekeeping team. As the Housekeeping Team Leader, you will have great communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to demonstrate a broad experience in the cleaning sector within a healthcare setting, hotel or similar environment. You will take an active part in the team completing rotas and staff records. You will be responsible for completing training and audits/inspections to ensure we meet and exceed expectations, driving constant development and improvement.
The Housekeeping Team Leader will oversee the cleaning standards of patient rooms, clinical and public areas throughout the Hospital. You will supervise the day-to-day activities of the Housekeepers, whilst training and developing the team's skills and knowledge to ensure that high cleaning standards are met in line with the clinical expectations.
Key duties:
Supervision, training and development of Housekeeping team
Oversee night and weekend staff
Staff rostering, induction, PDRs, and absence management
Conduct training sessions with the housekeeping team to include COSHH, Isolation/MRSA cleaning, Equipment handling, Health & Safety
Undertake hospital cleanliness audits with department leads and implement any actions with the team
Ability to multi-task
Oversee and order cleaning supplies and equipment as required
