Job Description:

What you'll be doing :
- Respond to all enquiries, within agreed timescales, delegating as needed to the relevant team for urgent attention and feedback
- • Arrange and attend meetings with Stakeholders as required
- To give assistance and guidance through coaching and mentoring to newly appointed and existing assessment officers as required
- To un dertake pre-assessment and assessment quality checking duties.
- Undertake Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support Assessments
- Encourage and become involved in additional activities and projects as requested by the Line Manager such as cold reports and system testing.
- To raise any issues that may affect the contract with Line Manager and/or Benefits
- Have previous experience in a Housing Benefits/Council Tax Support environment
- Able to multi-task and self- prioritise whilst working to a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
- Have excellent customer care and written/verbal communication skills
- Competent using MS Outlook, Word & Excel
- Have an in-depth knowledge of Housing Benefits/Council Tax Support legislation
- Enthusiastic, friendly and confident with a positive attitude
- A competitive basic salary of £27,000 (£29,750 if London Based)
