Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer
on a
locum
basis for an initial 3-month period.
Requirements:
A valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor, Barrister or a Fellow of CILEX
Specialism within Housing Law and related legislation
Evidence of practising Housing Law post-qualification
Experience working within local authorities or for a relevant public sector organisation
An adaptable approach to work, being able to react to a constantly changing environment
Duties/Responsibilities:
Advising the clients of the organisation on all aspects of Housing Law and providing representation when necessary
Undertaking research as requested in relation to Housing Law and Civil Litigation
Advising on issues such as possession matters, s204 appeals and judicial review
Attending court as appropriate
Advising officers and members in a practical and sensitive manner
Mentoring and training less experienced team members
Working resourcefully under tight deadlines
