Company Overview: We are recruiting for a well-established and reputable construction company specializing in groundworks for residential developments. With an expanding portfolio of projects, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Housing Site Manager to join our team. Role Overview: As a Housing Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the groundworks on our residential construction sites. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, to budget, and in line with health and safety regulations. You will be working closely with site operatives, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the project. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day site operations for groundworks on residential housing developments. Oversee and supervise groundworks subcontractors, ensuring high-quality standards. Monitor and maintain health and safety protocols, including risk assessments and method statements. Ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. Liaise with the client, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication. Conduct regular site inspections and report progress. Manage site documentation, including site reports, permits, and certifications. Coordinate deliveries and plant operations to ensure efficiency. Essential Qualifications & Skills: SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification. First Aid at Work certification. A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in a site management role within the groundworks sector. Proven experience managing groundworks operations on residential construction sites. Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Desirable: CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card. A relevant construction-related qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or Degree).
