Are you a strong administrator, enjoy working independently and with a fantastic team of people? We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic candidate, with exceptional attention to detail, to join our friendly Pay and Reward Team.

About The Role You will be part of the team responsible for the efficient day-to-day processing of payroll within the Council, including processing timesheets, contracts, pensions, mileage claims, actioning working pattern updates and handling any incoming payroll queries, always ensuring a confident and professional approach. Working within our OD and HR Team you may also have the opportunity to provide support to other services where appropriate.

Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will share our organisational values, be positive and proactive, with strong coordination, organisation, and administration skills. We are looking for someone who is confident and possesses the ability to work independently in a busy demanding environment and an ability to use their own initiative.

You will have experience of working within a customer environment & ability to demonstrate strong Customer Service Skills. This will include communicating across various channels including but not limited to face-to-face, telephone, mail and electronic media.

Practical knowledge and understanding of core HR practices to support recruitment and onboarding would be beneficial for this role.
