An opportunity has arisen for a HR Advisor to join a global, well-established manufacturer!

You will deliver effective day-to-day support in all areas of the employee life cycle including disciplinary and grievance, absence and performance management, and consultations (including redundancy, changes to terms and conditions etc), along with participating in site/group strategic projects.

Responsibilities:

Building effective relationships with stakeholders and becoming a trusted advisor to positively influence approaches and behaviours in line with site/company standards and best practice, escalating any complex queries to the HR manager, as necessary. Proactively working to build people management capability across the site management team to enable line managers and Supervisors to handle people issues confidently and autonomously. Acting as the first point of contact for general queries, proactively managing the mailbox on a day-to-day basis. Managing Employee Relations cases end-to-end including investigation, disciplinary, grievance, capability, flexible working, absence and performance management, coaching line managers/supervisors and providing pragmatic advice throughout the process. Actively monitoring daily attendance, contacting unregistered absent employees, engaging with agencies, carrying out sickness absence reviews with managers, highlighting and escalating at relevant trigger points in accordance with the Company's Attendance Policy. Escalating and supporting with complex Employee Relations cases. Chairing and promoting the Employee Forum. Producing weekly and monthly metrics, providing commentary and insight, and using them to inform and drive improvements across the business. Undertaking weekly/monthly/annual checks on absence triggers, probation reviews, length of service awards etc. Using the HR Systems efficiently to maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

Experience working in a generalist HR role, ideally in a manufacturing/operational environment. Level 5 CIPD Qualified preferred. Strong IT skills in HRIS and Office packages (particularly Word, SharePoint, Excel).

This is a full-time role offering a salary of up to £40,000 per annum. You will be office-based, but 1-day per week from home could be available for the right candidate. Remote work would also be considered whilst completing HR project work.
