Job Opportunity: HR Adviser Location: Glasgow Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: £135 per day Contact: 4-8 weeks Are you an experienced HR professional ready to make a meaningful impact? ASA are working with a public sector client who are looking for an HR Adviser to join their team. You will provide proactive, high-quality HR services to staff, ensuring the effective management of employee relations, recruitment, policy implementation, and organisational development. Key Responsibilities Manage employee relations (ER) cases within your designated area, including absence management, grievance, disciplinary, and capability processes. Assist the HR Manager in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures aligned with legislation and best practices. Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers on all aspects of HR policies and processes. Support recruitment campaigns, from creating job adverts to participating in interview panels. Promote health and welfare initiatives, including referrals to occupational health and supporting phased returns to work. Deliver casework, training, and support for the wider HR team on issues such as flexible working, absence, and maternity/paternity cases. Ensure the accuracy of HR and payroll data, meeting deadlines in compliance with legislation and organisational procedures. Contribute to strategic initiatives such as job evaluation, employee engagement, and reward strategies. What We're Looking For: Essential Skills and Experience CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) or working towards it. Strong understanding of employment law, equality and diversity legislation, and data protection regulations. Proven experience in managing employee relations cases and providing HR advice. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
