Policy Development: Review and update HR policies to ensure compliance with current employment laws and industry standards. Employee Relations: Provide guidance to managers on resolving employee complaints and performance issues, aiming for effective and lawful resolutions. External Liaison: Manage relationships with external bodies such as ACAS, legal advisors, trade unions, and solicitors to address HR matters. Training and Development: Coach and train managers on handling employee relations issues and collaborate on developing necessary skills and behaviours. Change Management Support: Assist managers in implementing change projects that are influenced by legislation or align with the people strategy. Comprehensive HR Support: Contribute to various HR functions, including onboarding, payroll processing, recruitment, and learning and development initiatives. CIPD Level 3 minimum working towards or achieved Level 5. Employment Law Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation and best practices, with substantial experience in managing investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Employee Relations Proficiency: Exhibit a proven track record in handling complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies. Experience of working with confidential & sensitive information (both verbal & written). Some knowledge or experience in the civil engineering & construction industry.
