In this role, you will collaborate closely with the HR Business Partner to deliver exceptional HR services across the organisation. You will provide guidance on effective strategies for attracting, retaining, and engaging employees throughout their employment journey. With a comprehensive generalist focus, you will be involved in all operational areas and support the execution of strategic initiatives that contribute to the business's growth. The Location You will be based at our Schroders Business Campus, which boasts high standards and an international reputation, all while offering a serene countryside setting. Commuting is made easy with our dedicated shuttle bus service to and from Horsham's mainline train station. Key Responsibilities Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date, empowering managers with the necessary tools for effective implementation and fair treatment of employees. Collaborate with the HR team to enhance HR processes. Monitor employee absence and manage triggers appropriately, escalating issues when necessary. Efficiently address HR matters, including probations, contract changes, and terminations. Provide guidance on employee relations, including disciplinary actions, performance management, and grievance procedures. Work closely with the team to ensure effective resource allocation for vacancies and support timely recruitment solutions. Contribute to employee wellbeing initiatives and wellness programmes. Assist in talent management and succession planning efforts. Support TUPE-related activities to ensure smooth staff transitions, including pre-transfer planning and training. Participate in regulatory compliance, including adherence to the SM&CR regime. Engage in employee-focused projects and drive organisational change using change management frameworks. Align HR strategies with overall business goals. Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications CIPD Level 5 qualification. Strong understanding of current UK employment law. Solid understanding of employee relations processes and procedures. Awareness of diversity and inclusion in HR settings. Experience in Financial Services is desirable. Excellent communication skills. A positive, can-do attitude. Personal Attributes Promoter of the Treating Customers Fairly principles, with a strong sense of duty of care to our clients.
