PURPOSE OF POSITION The HR Advisor will work closely with the Senior HR Manager to provide comprehensive HR support and guidance to both employees and management within the organization. They play a pivotal role in ensuring that HR policies, procedures, and practices are effectively implemented and adhered to, fostering a positive work environment and supporting the achievement of organizational goals. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Role Specific Responsibilities Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and support on various employment matters. Conduct investigations into employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Mediating conflicts and facilitating constructive communication between employees and management to promote a harmonious work environment. Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection. Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, including orientation sessions, paperwork completion, and introductions to company policies and procedures. Manage the lifecycle of the apprentice program including recruitment and training requirements. Performance Management: Support the performance management process by assisting managers in setting performance objectives, conducting performance evaluations, and providing guidance on performance improvement plans. Advise on matters related to employee development, career progression, and training opportunities to enhance individual and team performance. HR Policy and Compliance: Keep abreast of changes in employment law and regulations, ensuring company policies and practices remain compliant. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to promote fairness, consistency, and compliance across the organization. Employee Engagement and Wellbeing: Implement initiatives to foster employee engagement, morale, and wellbeing, such as employee recognition programs, team-building activities, and wellness initiatives. Act as a resource for employees seeking guidance on work-life balance, benefits, and support services. HR Administration: Supervise the HR Coordinators. Ensure the mailbox is kept updated and queries are responded to in a timely manner. Oversee the administration of the HR Department ensuring adherence to procedures. Ensure that all HR documentation is saved in the correct format in personnel files. Ensure the HRIS System data is accurate. Provide HR Reports when required. Provide any additional support to the Payroll team to ensure monthly and weekly payrolls are processed accurately. Health, Safety & Environment: Take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work. Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental rules, policies, procedures, regulations, and codes of practice. Co-operate with management and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal obligations. Report any hazards, injuries, or ill health that present a serious and imminent risk. REQUIREMENTS Job Specific Education Required: Educated to degree level or hold the equivalent professional experience. CIPD qualified. Work Experience Required: 3 years’ experience in a HR Advisor role. Experience working in a fast-paced organization with a solution-focused mindset. Skills & Knowledge Required: Knowledge and experience in managing the full employee lifecycle. Knowledge and application of HR Metrics. Strong employment law knowledge. Flexible outlook willing to collaborate with the HR team and internal and external stakeholders. Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract Contract length: 12 months.
