We are seeking a dynamic and passionate HR professional to join our team and work closely with the Head of HR across our schools to drive impactful change in our people practices. As a key player in our mission, you will be the driving force behind delivering high quality front-line HR services that not only meet but exceed expectations. Your role as a generalist HR specialist will involve handling various aspects of employee relations and transactions and will involve regular travel between all our trust schools. You will be part of a supportive, committed and collaborative HR team, meeting regularly to share best practices, support each other with personal development and current cases. Throughout all work in this role, the post holder must show integrity, have high expectations of themselves and others and consideration to uphold standards of care for children, staff, parents and community. Duties And Responsibilities

Employee relations

Be the first point of contact for managers and staff, providing expert advice and guidance on all matters related to employee relations and change management. From disciplinary and grievance processes to performance and capability procedures, providing robust HR advice and guidance. Embrace the challenge of managing an employee relations caseload, ensuring that our HR processes are delivered with precision and adhere to the highest standards of best practice and legislative compliance. Absence Management

Ensure effective monitoring of absence management and referrals to Occupational Health are carried out. Ensure relevant staff within schools are competent and confident to manage low level initial absence concerns with minimal HR involvement. Champion a proactive approach to absence management, ensuring that employees receive the support they need to return to work swiftly and safely. Work closely with external health providers and organisations to ensure the well-being of our staff. Ensure that reports are produced and circulated as required. Performance Management

Assist with disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring policies are followed and attending meetings in an HR/note-taking capacity. Ensure administration and timings around these processes is swift, and fair for all involved. Recruitment and Selection

Play a pivotal role in recruitment and selection processes, bringing in top talent to our team through innovative and cost-effective strategies. May be involved with conducting interviews and providing training on interview skills and techniques. Support us to improve and streamline our recruitment process. Ensure fair and safe recruitment practices. HR Policy, Process and Administration

Assist with the updating of HR policies and procedures in line with legislation, ensuring that any relevant processes are aligned to any changes and that managers/staff receive appropriate briefings/training. In addition to the responsibilities of HR Advisor the post-holder is required to:

Support the Head of HR in developing the HR function and offering across all schools and to support strategic work across our trust. Work closely with the wider Central Support Team at Evolution Academy Trust to ensure that all schools are fully compliant in all statutory areas. Good Numeracy and Literacy Skills. GCSE or equivalent at C or above. Evidence of further study. Holds an appropriate HR qualification at level 3 or above. For more information:
