We are working with a growing professional services business, and they are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the business ASAP. Hybrid role - 3 - 4 days Office and 1-2 days Home (depending on workload). Flexible working hours, with a finish on Friday lunchtime. This role is a busy position responsible for providing HR support in a range of generalist areas. They need candidates who are confident, can hit the ground running, and can build relationships. Working as part of a team of 3 and reporting into the Head of HR, the role involves supporting a client group of approximately 160 employees (mainly UK and some International). The focus of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the HR function and the development and monitoring of HR processes across the employment life cycle, including recruitment, HR advice, guidance and coaching, HR best practices, supporting HR projects, and employee exit. Key duties will include: Reporting into the Head of HR and working as part of a team of 3 people Supporting a client group of approximately 160 employees, mainly in the UK, with some international support Providing support to the Head of HR with the development and delivery of HR strategy and other HR initiatives Being the point of contact for all operational areas of HR from the business Working on various HR projects, including reviewing and updating HR policies, handbooks, contracts, employee engagement, succession planning, and organisational design Identifying development needs and supporting the sourcing/delivery of training to line managers and stakeholders Providing support and training to managers on employee matters, including up-skilling, coaching, and providing up-to-date advice on employment law Providing in-house HR advice and support, ensuring that all company policies and processes are consistently applied across the business Ensuring that all HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably Managing, supporting, and providing advice on ER cases, including investigations, grievances, performance, and disciplinary matters (low volume, but experience in leading and managing complex cases is required) Supporting and assisting with recruitment activities, including preparing job descriptions, job advertisements (internal and external), interviewing, offer letters, and contracts of employment Providing support on day-to-day HR administration, recruitment, payroll, and covering for the HR Assistant during busy periods, ensuring the smooth running of the head office For this role, candidates will need to have proven HR experience at this level and be confident dealing with a wide range of generalist HR duties. Ideally, candidates will have experience within a professional services industry, dealing with a highly skilled, educated, and analytical client group. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work on their own initiative, with a passion for making this role their own. The role would be ideal for an experienced HR Advisor looking for a new opportunity with a well-established business, supporting the Head of HR with all operational, HR projects, and strategic work.
