Excellent opportunity to join a leading construction business Generalist HR Advisor role, brand new in structure, 12-18 month contract About Our Client A leading construction business with operations throughout the UK. Job Description This HR Advisor role is initially for a period of 12-18 months, based out of offices in Wakefield. Working as part of a generalist HR team, you will work alongside other advisors to support the Yorkshire and Midlands region. Key responsibilities will include: Supporting line managers with ER casework. Developing line management capability though coaching, training and development. Supporting recruitment campaigns. Working on restructuring activities. Assisting in the development of Engagement, Health & Wellbeing and Equality and Diversity related initiatives. The Successful Applicant The HR Advisor must be/have: Member of CIPD or studying towards qualification or similar. Prior experience in a generalist HR role at a similar level with a good working knowledge of employment law, codes of practice and good working practices. Current knowledge of employment trends and developments. A willingness to attend CPD/training events. Be capable of supporting internal investigations and determining facts upon which decisions can be made. Capable of identifying opportunities for improvement across the HR function. What's on Offer A competitive salary of £40-45,000 per annum, with a car allowance of £5,000 plus benefits. An inclusive and supportive company culture 12-18 month contract initially Based in Wakefield with hybrid working 2-3 days a week.
