Your new role
This is a varied role which will require travel across the UK to different sites including Wakefield, Aldershot and Bromsgrove. As part of the package there will be a car allowance.
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, your principal accountabilities will include:
Drive up line management capability and self-sufficiency to transition ownership of day-to-day people management to line managers
Champion a strong culture of engagement and positive employee relations by working proactively with line managers and the Senior HR Business Partner to implement engagement action plans to drive performance
Embed PeopleHR in the operational divisions to develop line management capability and drive cultural change in levels of ownership and accountability
Ensuring operational data within PeopleHR is always up to date in real time
Working with Senior HR Business Partner to coordinate activities in relation to TUPE, acquisitions, integration, organisational development, restructuring and redundancy
Coach line managers on having difficult conversations and the informal resolution of issues
Provide professional, technically sound and pragmatic HR advice to line managers to minimise risk
Refer to Senior HR Business Partner as appropriate
Prepare the monthly operational HR report for your division
About you
Degree level education preferred
Utilities industry experience preferred
Experience of working within a highly matrixed environment
Strong working knowledge of employment law
Experienced in leading change projects including organisation design, restructure, variation of terms and conditions
Accustomed to establishing key stakeholder relationships at all levels to achieve objectives
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
