This is a full-time temporary role for 12 months, working a 39-hour week, to start ASAP. This role will be based on site, and is paying up to £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Role Purpose: As a HR Generalist, you will be the primary contact for all line managers and employees, providing clear and consistent application of employee policies and practices and creating positive key employee moments such as onboarding, career growth, and time off. You will be part of the Employee Experience team, which strives to create and deliver slick processes for every employee journey.
Key Responsibilities: The HR Generalist will make a positive impact on each key stage of an employee's lifecycle and be the key person to positively influence and shape the employee experience at critical times in their career. Key responsibilities include:
Guide Leaders and HRBPs in relation to HR policies and procedures (such as performance improvement, discipline, grievances, absence management, etc.), coaching them through the process and ensuring they understand the legal requirements. Take a proactive approach to employee relations, reviewing data and spotting trends, recommending solutions, and coaching Line Managers to address problems before they grow. Manage onboarding, job moves, and exit employee engagement, owning the end-to-end employee cycle. Provide coaching and support to line managers in employee experience, empowering employees to thrive. Work side-by-side with teams across HR (HRBPs, Payroll, Reward, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition, etc.), providing support and subject matter expertise to address queries or problems.
Skills & Experience: Experience of employee relations and case management, including knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations. Great attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experience. Experience in handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy, comfortable having difficult conversations. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships based on trust and confidence. Experience of working in a unionised manufacturing environment.
