What We’re Looking For 2+ years’ experience in a management role, ideally blending HR and L&D expertise. Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide teams. A proactive approach to shaping HR strategies and driving employee development. Key Responsibilities HR Management Duties Manage the HR function, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, absence management, and performance management. Promote the employer brand to attract and retain top talent. Oversee and enhance the onboarding and induction process, ensuring a seamless integration for new hires into the company culture. Collaborate with directors to align HR strategies with organisational goals. Ensure compliance with employment laws and implement HR policies effectively. Training and Development Duties Source and partner with training providers, such as ILM Leadership & Management, to create and maintain a robust training matrix for a workforce of 200+ staff. Work with directors to identify training needs for key roles, implementing specialised programs. Lead apprenticeship programs by partnering with local colleges to develop talent pipelines, identifying and training mentors to support apprentice mechanics. Secure grants and funding to support training and apprenticeship initiatives. Continuously evaluate training programs to ensure timely delivery and measurable impact on employee development.
