Position We are looking for a HR Manager who will be responsible for managing the operations of our HR services by partnering with managers to get the best out of our people. Alongside partnering with managers, you will lead and inspire a team of two, to deliver exceptional and professional operational services for all stakeholders. A key part of the HR Manager role is being confident in managing employee relations and performance-related matters. You'll update and implement HR policies in line with employment law, best practice, and Henshaws values, and provide training on employment policies to aspiring, new, and experienced managers. Salary: £20.89 per hour/£38,019.80 Hours: 35 (part-time considered) Weeks: 52 Holiday: 5 weeks plus 10 days bank holiday DBS: Enhanced with child barring The role is a fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave period for approximately 6 months. Closing Date: 13th January 2025 - 12 Noon Requirements Approachable and professional attitude Confidence to build relationships with colleagues at all levels and drive best practice across the organisation Experience with managing a small team Strong influencing skills with proven ability to challenge managers in a professional and pragmatic manner Experience of dealing with complex employment issues CIPD Level 5 in Human Resource Management Strong and up-to-date understanding of employment law Other Information Henshaws Society for Blind People aims to employ a diverse workforce and is committed to equality of employment and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.
