4-month fixed term contract (Jan - May 2025) Edinburgh Science delivers one of Europe’s largest science festivals. We also deliver year-round educational programs and outreach initiatives and a variety of international programming activities and projects that spark curiosity and engage our audiences with science, technology, & sustainability. About the role: The HR Officer will play a key role in supporting all HR functions with particular focus on ensuring attraction and recruitment of our seasonal staff for our 2025 Edinburgh Science Festival. This role will give you a chance to contribute to the success of our world renowned Science Festival and help further your HR career providing you with valuable experience in recruitment and HR operations, within a supportive team setting. As our HR Officer, you will: Lead recruitment campaigns to attract, select and onboard our seasonal team for the 2025 Festival and any core team positions. Manage the employee lifecycle and HR operations, including all onboarding activities, payroll support, and HR system support. Provide clear guidance to staff and managers on HR related matters. About you: Proven experience in an HR role with a focus on recruitment and selection. Ideally CIPD Level 3 qualified or above, or equivalent experience. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working with people. A reliable, positive and flexible working manner is a must.
