As an HR Senior Manager, you will support the Head of HR in delivering a high-quality HR service to the ICB, providing advice on all aspects of workforce performance and employee relations. You will play a key role in partnering with colleagues across the People Directorate to drive the People agenda forward throughout the ICB. This involves working with managers, staff side representatives, employees, and other partners to ensure the ICB is an employer of choice and a great place to work. You will develop interventions to address management and leadership challenges within the ICB, promoting cultural change. Job Requirement: Occasional attendance at the Lewes office is necessary for this role. While daily presence is not required, you must be available to attend onsite meetings with prior notice. Main duties of the job

Duties will also include: Management and oversight of investigations into complex employment issues such as bullying and harassment cases, disciplinary issues, capability, and grievances. Lead on the development and trust wide implementation of local and national policies and procedures. Develop key working relationships with ICS System Partners and use your specialist knowledge of HR in the NHS to support the delivery of the ICS People Strategy. Contribute to the annual business planning process, identifying workforce priorities that support and enable service objectives. Support the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning, and service. Build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery. Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by your line manager. Qualifications

Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area. Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post-graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent. Evidence of post-qualifying and continuing professional development. Must understand the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement. Should have an appreciation of the relationship between NHS England, provider, and commissioning organisations. Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Other

Must be able to use initiative to decide relevant actions and make recommendations to Sponsor/Manager, with the aim of improving deliverables and compliance to policies. Ability to make decisions autonomously, when required, on difficult issues, working to tight and often changing timescales. Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to cope with uncertainty and change. Willing to engage with and learn from peers, other professionals, and colleagues in the desire to provide or support the most appropriate interventions. Professional calm and efficient manner. Experience of managing a complex and high-risk employee relations case load including sickness absence management, disciplinary, grievance, and bullying and harassment cases for a range of staff groups and supporting cases at Employment Tribunals. Experience of identifying and interpreting national policy and employment legislation. Experience of researching best practices (globally, private, and public sector) and interpreting its relevance to achieve system reform. Must be able to prioritise own work effectively and be able to direct the activities of others. Experience of managing and motivating a team and reviewing the performance of individuals. Comprehensive experience of project principles, techniques, and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects. Skills and Capabilities

Must be able to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information, negotiate with senior stakeholders on difficult and controversial issues, and present complex and sensitive information to large and influential groups. Negotiate on difficult and controversial issues including performance and change. Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands. Ability to analyse complex facts and situations and develop a range of options. Takes decisions on difficult and contentious issues where there may be several courses of action. Strategic thinking ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise.
