This is a great opportunity to join a small dedicated management information team in HR/OD. You'll be involved in a range of activities from statutory workforce returns and benchmarking to performance and benefit tracking. You will work across HR/OD using all main workforce systems. This is an analytical position, requiring sound technical skills in data analytics and visualisation to generate insights that will drive meaningful action. Your work will help inform people management decision-making and improve performance.
Key responsibilities: Data analysis and insight generation Production of statutory returns and workforce related FOIs Executive level reporting Data collection e.g. employee engagement Assessing, recommending and deploying new diagnostic tools Collaboration with managers and HR/OD colleagues to assess and develop workforce diagnostics aligned with council business needs Data quality and production of main HR/OD systems We are looking for someone who enjoys a flexible and creative approach to work who has strong technical analytical skills. Ideally, you will be a great communicator who can work with HR/OD colleagues and other stakeholders to design, implement and maintain robust metrics, dashboards, and reports. With a strong focus on easily translated trend analysis, actionable insights to drive improvement to help us deliver our People Strategy and our key employer priorities and statutory responsibilities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a good level of knowledge of workforce systems, business objects, and Excel. Using these tools in a combined way, not only will you be capable of extracting the right data but you will be able to interpret, analyse and produce evidence-based reports for internal stakeholders and external returns.
You will be highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines across a range of disciplines and activities such as the production of regular monthly reports whilst being able to cater for ad hoc requests.
You will be a good and persuasive communicator and be able to develop solid relationships across a wide range of workplace stakeholders.
