Health and Safety Manager – DERBYSHIRE – Manufacturing – Low Tier Comah Site – Competitive Salary fully Dependent upon experience/relevance

Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional looking for an exciting new challenge? Do you have a strong background in COMAH sites, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, or industrial manufacturing? Can you lead and implement safety programs while fostering a strong safety culture? Are you personable, approachable, and capable of engaging with employees at all levels? What You Need to Have

Proven experience in

Health and Safety management , ideally with 5+ years in a COMAH site, chemical manufacturing, or defence sector. Other sectors can be considered. Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels. A professional qualification such as

NEBOSH

or

IOSH

is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of

COMAH regulations

preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field would be advantageous as well as relevant health and safety legislation knowledge. Preferred Backgrounds:

COMAH site experience (preferred). Oil & Gas, Aerospace, or Defence Sector manufacturing. What You Get in Return

Health and Safety Manager , you’ll oversee all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance at the site, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Include: Developing and implementing a proactive

health and safety strategy . Leading

risk assessments

and ensuring compliance with COMAH and HSE regulations. Managing

emergency response plans

and delivering safety training programs. Fostering a strong

safety culture

and engaging with employees at all levels. Conducting audits, reporting to senior management, and driving continuous improvement.
