This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their established team on a prestigious project aimed at boosting Scotland's renewable energy capacity, providing clean energy to two million homes in the UK.

You will lead the implementation of health and safety policies, enforce compliance with regulations, and foster a proactive safety culture on-site.

Key Responsibilities: Policy Development and Implementation:

Lead the development, implementation, and review of health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems, ensuring full compliance with legislation and industry best practices. Site Inspections and Risk Management:

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential safety issues. Advice and Guidance:

Provide expert advice on health and safety matters, including safe equipment use, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures. Training and Induction:

Oversee and deliver health and safety training and induction programmes for employees and subcontractors, ensuring all personnel are fully informed and equipped to perform their duties safely. Incident Investigation:

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, document findings, and recommend preventive measures. Stakeholder Liaison:

Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Performance Monitoring:

Monitor and report on health and safety performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to senior management and stakeholders, driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills: Education:

Degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related field. Certification:

NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety. Experience:

Proven experience in a health and safety management role within civil engineering, particularly on large-scale infrastructure projects. Knowledge:

Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards in the construction sector. Communication Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Organisational Abilities:

Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
