We provide consulting, projects and operations solutions in 60 countries, employing around 35,000 people. www.woodplc.com Wood is currently recruiting for an HSE Advisor to support our projects at the National Gas Transmission St Fergus and Kirriemuir Gas Plants for 12 months. We can offer this on a fixed term staff or PSC basis. Responsibilities

Responsibilities and duties include: Ensure HSE objectives are set coupled with a plan outlining how objectives will be achieved. Support site supervision in planning and managing activities. Investigating safety and environmental incidents and cases of work-related ill health. Developing local policies and procedures and ensuring the company HSE management system is complied with. Maintaining records and statistics pertinent to the location(s). Periodically review HSE performance and present statistics, reports and updates to stakeholders, some of whom may be senior. Ensuring a suitable safety audit/inspection program is implemented. Reviewing risk assessment/method statement (RAMS) documents. Advising line management on HSSE related matters. Ensure HSE training needs are identified and effectively addressed. Develop and deliver location/contract specific HSE induction. Assist in the delivery of HSE messages to teams including toolbox talks. Promote the involvement in all HSE activities, initiatives and programmes. Maintaining a HSE contract level HSSE risk register and determining ways of reducing risks. Keeping up to date with relevant health and safety legislation & best practice ensuring the contract takes advantage of such opportunities. Maintaining effective emergency response arrangements that are periodically tested. Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent). Relevant HSE and/or technical experience, ideally in an oil/gas or HV/LV setting. Knowledge of HSE management systems and experience of implementation. Good planning and organizational skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Confidence to intervene on unsafe acts and conditions. Effective/competent MS Office Suite User. Must have valid driving license. About Us
