About the Role

As an HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with HSE standards across project sites. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will implement HSE management systems, oversee on-site safety measures, conduct investigations, and drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote awareness of HSE requirements throughout the organisation. Review and ensure the full implementation of the HSE Management System. Coordinate and conduct internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings. Represent the organisation on project sites for HSE-related matters. Investigate incidents to determine root causes and recommend preventative measures. Drive behavioural HSE programmes to encourage a proactive safety culture. Record and analyse data on first aid cases, near misses, and incidents to monitor HSE performance. Foster a strong safety culture on-site among project teams and subcontractors. Perform site inspections, ensuring high standards of safety and housekeeping are maintained. Assist with the development and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Ensure proper PPE usage and oversee safety signage and equipment checks. Maintain thorough documentation of safety activities, including daily and weekly reports.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Proven experience as an HSE Advisor or in a similar HSE role. Strong understanding of ISO management procedures and HSE regulations. NEBOSH certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Degree or Diploma in Health and Safety is highly desirable. Experience working with Irish HSE standards. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams. Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Full driver's license, with flexibility to travel as required.
