We have an exciting new opportunity for a site-based HSE Manager to join our Construction team based on one of our client sites in Surrey. Responsibilities The HSE Manager will ensure safety, health, environment, and quality assurance on sites. Supervise or co-ordinate work systems to ensure products and services meet the highest quality standards and that working conditions are safe and meet legal requirements. Advise the Directors and Managers on all safety, health, and welfare matters to ensure the Company complies with its statutory obligations. Provide guidance on all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental issues at all stages of a contract. Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and inform the Director responsible for Health and Safety about any relevant new legislation. Implement any new legislation relating to health and safety. Conduct regular sub-contractor control inspections. Report any situations that require immediate rectification or the stopping of any operation. Attend senior project management team meetings to present HSE statistics, areas of development, and take responsibility for any actions as required. Job Specifics Manage weekly Site H&S meetings for subcontractors, generally with the subcontractor “Black Hats”. Review and audit Subcontractor “Friday Packs” with the relevant package/site manager to ensure that the information provided is current and relevant for the current project phase. Ensure that the “Friday Packs” are recorded in accordance with the CEP procedures. Monthly review and update where required on site-specific plans (SWMP, EMP, CPP, TMLP, EFP, Site safety plans, etc.).
