Main purpose of the role is to play a key role in enhancing the company's HSE standards, practices and culture with the chance to make a real impact in an expanding company.
Main Duties
Ensuring operations are compliant with both UK legislation and in line with wider Group strategy for Health, Safety and Environment. Further develop and implement the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System with the objective of achieving ISO 45001. Accurately track Health, Safety and Environment performance metrics, conduct thorough incident investigations, and identify root causes to prevent recurrence. Provide support and training to the workforce on health and safety and environment issues as required. Manage internal site and systems audits and inspections and represent the company during external audits, ensuring compliance and driving improvements. Support the quality advisor to maintain ISO 9001 certification.
Skills and Experience Experience in a similar role within relevant sectors such as: engineering, marine operations, manufacturing, or related industry background. Ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma or NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent). Ideally IOSH Chartered or Chartered or Certified Member.
This is a temporary position which will lead to permanent after 13 completed weeks.
