Date Published: 23-May-2024 Part of a global conglomerate, an SME that specialises in the manufacture of materials handling equipment is now seeking a qualified HSE Advisor to join their team. Covering multiple sites, this newly created position will ensure a continued focus on adherence to up to date health, safety and environment legislation. Currently covered by a number of quality and operations specialists, you will free their time and become the go-to person for all health, safety and environmental requirements. Responsibilities:

To provide expert, professional health and safety advice, guidance, and support to all interested parties. To support the company in ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative and other requirements inclusive of our ISO certified HSE Management Systems. Work in collaboration with operational departments to ensure all activities have been adequately risk assessed, with safe systems of work being agreed, communicated, and understood. Support operational departments in ensuring COSHH compliance including the maintenance of the company COSHH register. Assist with and/or complete regular formal safety inspections and internal audits as required across all depots and field-based operations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

3+ years’ experience in a similar role. A formally recognised Health and Safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a minimum. Strong communicator and the ability to positively influence others. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or construction environment.
