The role As a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Advisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will provide subject-matter expertise to project teams in relation to Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

Day-to-day, you'll undertake health and safety audits and formal/informal inspections to ensure full compliance with all process standards and legal & statutory requirements. Write and circulate health and safety reports that summarise areas of non-compliance, identifying areas requiring improvement. Provide HSE advice and guidance to line management on working practices and arrangements to ensure that work activities are undertaken safely and in compliance with company arrangements and applicable legislation. Supporting the SSHEQR Director/Case Team in ensuring that any new legislation, or revised business instructions are integrated into health & safety procedures such that the BMS remains fully up to date. Support the business' generation and delivery of HSE improvement plans/health and safety plans, ensuring they are aligned with the business-wide SSHEQR improvement plan. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office and remaining days working from home. The position can be based in either Warrington or Whitehaven.

Essential experience of the HSE Advisor: Experience supporting project teams in relation to Safety within a regulated industry. Experience delivering training for safety. Understanding of safe systems of work, e.g. Risk Assessment Method Statements. Qualifications for the HSE Advisor: Level 3 accredited Health and Safety Qualification or equivalent. Examples include:

BSc Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health. National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level 3 Health and Safety at Work. NEBOSH General Certificate.

Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
