Location: National travel required (base flexible) Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum + benefits Job Type: Full Time, Permanent HSE Officer The Role: We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSEQ professional to join a leading business in the rail sector. This is a dynamic role that will see you working directly with partners and teams across multiple sites nationwide, ensuring compliance, driving best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. HSE Officer Key Responsibilities: Site-Focused HSEQ Support: Work directly on-site with teams, embedding best practices in Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality management Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure full adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards across all rail projects Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with operational teams, subcontractors, and key partners to promote a positive HSEQ culture Audits and Inspections: Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards Training and Development: Deliver HSEQ training and toolbox talks to enhance awareness and drive continuous improvement HSE Officer You: Proven experience in an HSEQ role within the rail sector (or a similarly high-risk, regulated industry) Strong working knowledge of rail safety standards, legislation, and best practices A hands-on, proactive approach, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels NEBOSH/NCRQ Diploma (or equivalent) and ideally Sentinel PTS certification Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally as required HSE Officer Benefits: Be part of a growing, forward-thinking organisation with a strong reputation in the rail industry A hands-on, varied role where you will be out on-site, making a real difference Competitive salary circa £50K + benefits package Opportunities for professional development and career growth If you are a committed HSEQ professional who enjoys working on-site and wants to contribute to the success of major rail projects, we would love to hear from you!
