My client, one of the leading civil engineering contractors in Scotland, is seeking an experienced and dedicated HSQE Advisor to join their team for a major gas and power infrastructure project based in Dumfries, Scotland. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, quality, and environmental aspects of the project to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies. This position offers future opportunities for work in the region once the project is completed.

Key Responsibilities:

Health and Safety Management Quality Assurance & Control Environmental Compliance Training and Development Reporting and Documentation Collaboration and communication

Key Skills and Qualifications:

A degree or diploma in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. NEBOSH National or Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (essential). ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 qualifications or similar would be an advantage. In-depth knowledge of current health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and legislation. Strong understanding of construction processes, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans. Ability to carry out site inspections, audits, and safety monitoring effectively. Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card (essential). SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification preferred. First Aid at Work certification (desirable).

Location:

Based in Dumfries, Scotland, with travel to other sites within the region once the current project is completed.
