HSEQ Manager

to lead Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality initiatives across the Yorkshire operation. Reporting to the Site Operations Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with industry standards, maintaining a safe working environment, and driving continuous improvement across the site s operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the site s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HESQ) efforts, ensuring full compliance with legal and corporate requirements. Monitor and report on safety performance, ensuring adherence to agreed KPIs. Develop, implement, and maintain the site s safety management system and risk assessment programs. Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies (HSE, EA, Fire Authority, etc.) and ensure compliance with COMAH regulations. Oversee safety walk programs, systematic inspections, and Behaviour Based Safety initiatives. Manage the incident investigation process for accidents and near misses, ensuring swift resolution and learnings. Ensure all changes in the workplace, including projects and process modifications, adhere to Management of Change procedures. Lead the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 accreditations). Develop and deliver HESQ training programs and lead Safety Committee meetings. Manage the Corporate Safety database and ensure contractors operate within corporate safety guidelines. Facilitate timely and efficient handling of customer feedback and oversee related actions. Support other company sites as needed, including conducting audits and supporting product stewardship initiatives. About You: To succeed in this role, you will need: A NEBOSH Diploma or higher qualification in Health, Safety, Environment, or Quality. Experience in a HSEQ management role, ideally within a production or manufacturing environment (chemical manufacturing experience is an advantage but not essential). Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change in safety culture and processes. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
