HSEQ Manager Job Overview:

As the HSEQ Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across a state of the art Energy from Waste facility. Your role is crucial in promoting a culture of safety and compliance, minimizing risks, and ensuring our operations adhere to regulatory requirements and best practices.

HSEQ Manager Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards. Lead accident and incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented. Provide training and support to staff on health and safety matters. Oversee environmental management systems and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Monitor and report on environmental performance, implementing improvement initiatives where necessary. Promote sustainable practices within the organization. Develop and manage quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of operation. Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits. Ensure the facility complies with all relevant HSEQ regulations and standards. Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and best practices, advising management on necessary actions. Develop and deliver HSEQ training programs for employees. Promote awareness and engagement in HSEQ initiatives across the organization.

HSEQ Manager Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO Lead Auditor) are highly desirable. Proven experience in an HSEQ role within the energy from waste or a related industry. Strong knowledge of HSEQ legislation, standards, and best practices. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in HSEQ management systems and software.
